Vendors
February 2008
Dear Merchant,
The Seventeenth Annual St. Louis African Arts Festival will be held Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday-Monday, May 24-26, 2008, in Forest Park at the World’s Fair Pavilion. Once again, the Festival will be located in one of the crown jewels of St. Louis, the beautiful Forest Park.
The African marketplace is an integral part of African culture. The energy, social exchange, sights and smell are intriguing at best! We invite you to join us for this special event by participating as a vendor. We are most interested in unique African and Afrocentric expressions of culture. (PLEASE, NO KNOCK-OFFS!)
The 2008 festival booth rental fees are: By Early Bird Deadline (April 25th), $425 for three full days
After the Early Bird Deadline, $475 for three full days
Booth spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The merchandise to be sold must reflect African or African-American culture. If you are unsure about your product type, please call us before applying for a booth. Books and food vendors are welcome. However, food vendors must obtain a permit from the City of St. Louis Health Department.
If you are interested in participating in this community, cultural event, please complete, sign, and return one copy of request-agreement form along with your money order made payable to the St. Louis African Arts Festival. You may keep the extra copy of the agreement form for your records. Personal or business checks WILL NOT be accepted after Friday, May 2nd. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. Checks returned for insufficient funds will result in booth forfeiture.
We look forward to your participation this year at our annual celebration. If you need additional information, please feel free to call us at (314) 935-5645, or visit our website at www.STLAfricanArtsFest.org.
